I have been a fan of The Lord of the Rings since I was a child, and I thought Peter Jackson's screen adaptation captured both the magic and the realism I remembered so fondly.  I can't imagine anyone else bringing that amount of care and attention to a series so many people love, and I can't imagine anyone else in charge of filming The Hobbit.  

I was a frequent visitor to www.lordoftherings.net during production of The Lord of the Rings.  I particularly enjoyed the mini-documentaries, which kept me from going crazy in between movie releases. My spouse and I are members of the official fan club, and we own several pieces of commemorative merchandise from lotrshop.com and from Sideshow/Weta Collectibles.  In other words, we support The Lord of the Rings nearly any way we can! 

My line party attended the midnight screenings of The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers and the "Trilogy Tuesday" showing of all three films, and I think it's safe to say we will show the same level of enthusiasm for The Hobbit!  There is a worldwide audience for this film who are eagerly awaiting Peter Jackson's film version of J.R.R. Tolkien's wonderful prequel.  We hope that whatever legalities need to be sorted out will be done so soon so that production can begin on this long-awaited movie.
