Dear New Line,

The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy, which you have so wonderfully backed, has truly lightened up my life, and I would adore to see The Hobbit turned into a movie. I moved to America from England when I was 12, and I didn't know a single person in the area. On my first day I was nervous, afraid, and didn't want to speak to anyone. However, on the second day I wore a "Fellowship of the Ring" t-shirt to school and some of the most wonderful people started talking to me. Now, aged 14, I have a very strong relationship with many fellow Ringers in my school. I was petrified that first day, but as soon as I talked to my new friends the world seemed to brighten up. This has happened due to your movies making a wonderful new generation of Tolkien fans. Now we can sit and have in-depth discussions concerning all aspects of the book and movie! My friends, family, and I have all purchased merchandise relating to the movies, and the movies have even gotten my mother to read the books she swore five years ago she wouldn't! We have been avid fans and supporters of this Trilogy since the very beginning and have seen it too-many-times-to-count in movie theaters.

What would make these wonderful films even better is if you considered making The Hobbit into a live-action movie. My young cousin, only seven, read this book and immediately wanted to see the movie, which we told her wasn't made yet. How she pouted for days! Please think of making this wonderful prequel to The Lord of the Rings Trilogy into a live-action movie. If you invited the Lord of the Rings team back, then it would truly make this a wonderful set of movies that will forever live in cinematic history. Many fans want to see this happen, and having seen how wonderfully the Trilogy has been brought to screen, many Tolkien fans around the world have the confidence in New Line to bring these to the screen in a beautiful manner.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy has made amazing amounts at the box office, and surely The Hobbit will only add more to it's amazing sum. If you wait another few years, audiences will have grown numb of the current Lord of the Rings after-glow, and will be bored of it and may not show any interest. Certainly a few would, but the general audience will not want to see this movie in ten years time. They want to see it now. I have met some wonderful people with The Lord of the Rings movie Trilogy, and an additional movie, The Hobbit, would simply be amazing. I realize I am just a young student, but please end the bickering between movie companies and make this movie as soon as possible, for the fans.
